Ce este Google Code-in și cine poate participa?

Pe scurt, Google Code-in este un program dedicat elevilor din întreaga lume cu vârste cuprinse între 13 și 17 ani inclusiv, creat de Google sub forma unui parteneriat cu numeroase organizații de tip open-source (anul acesta 25 la număr, printre care și Ubuntu, Drupal, WikiMedia) pentru a încuraja participarea în proiecte și comunități definite de licența liberă. Programul durează aproximativ 50 de zile în fiecare an, anul acesta având loc între 28 noiembrie și 17 ianuarie.

Fie că vrei să codezi (și aici vei găsi probleme de rezolvat în ce limbaj preferi: Python, C++, Java, Javascript și nu numai), fie că vrei să testezi software, fie că vrei să scrii documentație sau doar să înveți mai multe despre lumea open-source, vei găsi ceva la care ți-ar făcea plăcere să lucrezi în cadrul Google Code-in! În plus, vei cunoaște o comunitate minunată, formată atât din elevi, cât și din oameni de profesie, care lucrează la programe și servicii bine cunoscute în lumea IT. Nu ar trebui să îți faci griji cu privirea la dificultatea taskurilor oferite, căci și mentorii și ceilalti paricipanți te vor sprijini să înveți cât mai mult din această experiență.

Cum poți participa? De ce este o „competiție”?

Înscrierea și participarea sunt complet gratuite. Ai nevoie doar de un cont Google și trebuie să te asiguri că te încadrezi în intervalul de vârstă acceptat. Te poți înscrie oricând pe durata programului, nu neapărat la început.

Seesmic: a great social app

Seesmic is a wonderful app for PC, BlackBerry, iOS and Android, for those which enjoy using Facebook and Twitter and want to access all of their profiles on the way, with just a single app.
For all the platforms there are a free and a paid version, but I sustain that the free version is more than enough, at least the one for Android (there are a few differences between the features that appear on Android and the ones that are on iOS, BlackBerry and PC). On the PC you also can make free video calls!!
The developers promised that in the next version you'll also be able to bring your Google Plus and your 9GAG accounts in the free app. Isn't it great?
To bring an account in the Seesmic app means to have access to your Wall, friends, photos, posts, profile, pages, notifications etc.
But what is so revolutionary at Seesmic? Well, actually...

Why you'll like Skype?

I'm sure that at least once you heard about Skype, but maybe you didn't install it to see how it works. Well, Skype is great if you want to talk with your friends, because at the video and audio conversation the quality is brilliant. Also, the file sharing is very useful, because they're sending quickly and the size limit is the biggest possible, even 5 or 6 times bigger than at Y!Messenger.


A very promoted feature of Skype is the one with you can dial or send text messages to USA or Canada, from anywhere in the world, for free or from USA or Canada to anywhere in the world, also for free! But the wonder doesn't stops here! You can dial and send text messages PC-to-phone or phone-to-phone via Skype from anywhere to anywhere by paying them at a very low price. I forgot to say that everything that's PC-to-PC is absolutely free!

Cum sa pui articole pe blogul tau cu Windows Live Writer?

Desi in general nu imi plac prea mult programele oferite de Windows (gen Windows Media Player, Outlook etc.) am gasit unul care chiar merita instalat pe calculatoarele bloggerilor: Windows Live Writer. Cu ajutorul acestui program puteti scrie articole offline si edita setari, pe care le puteti posta apoi pe blog cand “prindeti” conexiune la Internet. Iar editarea textului se face la un nivel mult mai profesionist, avand la dispozitie zeci/sute de fonturi (depinde de fiecare ), o parte utila din optiunile Office-ului, o multime de emoticonuri  si aspectul de Windows 7 (gen Paint). Programul este compatibil cu majoritatea serviciilor de blogging (WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal etc.)

Care este cel mai bun eBook Reader pentru Android?

Recent am cautat sa-mi descarc un eBook Reader si am inceput, evident, prin a ma documenta care este cel mai bun. Conform topurilor disponibile pe Internet, primele locuri ar fi ocupate pretutindeni de Aldiko si Amazon Kindle, pentru Android, dar cautand mai mult am gasit si un nou nume: Laputa. Am descarcat toate cele 3 aplicatii mentionate si am tras o concluzie, dar inainte de a v-o spune, iata o mica analiza a fiecarei aplicatii:

ALDIKO:

Pro: raftul arata dragut, are shop de sute eBook-uri gratuite ( download free eBooks ) incorporat, poti da pagina cu ajutorul butoanelor de volum, se gaseste pe Google Play, se pot regla luminozitatea, culoarea, marimea si fontul scrisului, poti importa in aplicatie carti stocate in memorie (formate acceptate: PDF si ePub), este sensibila la rotirea telefonului sau tabletei, cartile se deschid repede, are un mod special de noapte

Contra: nu are efecte la trecerea de la o pagina la alta (stiu ca poate credeti ca nu e mare lucru, dar veti vedea ca atunci cand aveti experienta devine cu totul speciala) si contrastul dintre culoarea scrisului si a fondului este prea puternic (deci obositor pentru ochi), aplicatia se deschide foarte incet, necompatibila cu toate telefoanle Android

AMAZON KINDLE:

Android Market devine Google Play

Daca ai un smart-phone, chiar daca nu este cu Android, sigur ai auzit de Android Market, site-ul tip "magazin de aplicatii" este "locul" de unde detinatorii de Android isi  pot descarca gratuit sau contra-cost aplicatii pentru smart-phone-ul lor, iar developerii isi pot lansa si promova aplicatii. Site-ul avea pana acum adresa "market.android.com" si era evident detinut de Google, asemenea sistemului de operare. Dar Android Market s-a terminat! Acum desi design-ul site-ului este exact la fel si totul este absolut identic din punct de vedere al regulamentului, al organizarii si al aplicatiilor, se numeste Google Play si adresa sa este acum "play.google.com"! Astfel, Android Market devine Google Play!
Insa Google Play mai are si alte functii, anume Google Play Music si Google eBook store, care se poate intelege din denumire ce sunt.

How to download "Bouncy Mouse"

Bouncy Mouse is a new game which is showing to be really popular. For the Valentine's Day it was created a new limited set of levels, called Riccota Romance, which seems that had a lot of succes, but this levels are not anymore available. I discovered Bouncy Mouse in the Chrome Web Store and I really enjoy it, but then I also found it on Android Market and probably it is in App Store, too. This game was created by Disney.
If you don't heard about Bouncy Mouse it is because is a very new game, but I'm sure that you will all hear about this game soon, because it's very good and as interesting as Angry Birds or really more!

"Angry Birds" pentru orice sistem de operare

M-as mira ca cineva sa nu fi auzit de Angry Birds, dar oricum voi incepe prin a va spune ca este un foarte popular joc, disponibil PENTRU ORICE SISTEM DE OPERARE actual, fie el pentru tableta, smart-phone sau PC: iOS, Maemo, MeeGo, HP webOS, Android, Symbian 3, Series 40, PSP/PlayStation 3, Mac OS X, Windows, WebGL, Windows Phone 7, Google Plus, Google Chrome,BlackBerry Tablet OS si Bada. Acest joc de tip puzzle a fost lansat prima data pe 10.decembrie.2009, doar pentru iOS, dar observandu-i-se o popularitate imensa, a inceput sa se lanseze si pentru restul sistemelor de operare, in ordinea listei data mai sus. Rovio Mobile este numele companiei ce a lansat acest joc, despre care evit sa va spun cum se joaca, deoarece este gratuit si il puteti descarca din foarte multe locuri, indiferent pe ce vreti sa il jucati.

 Cateva date importante despre Angry Birds ar fi:
 - este pentru un singur jucator
 - exista urmatoarele variante ale jocului: Angry Birds (clasic), Angry Birds Seasons si Angry Birds Rio
 - exista jucarii si alte astfel de materiale sub sigla Angry Birds
 - este impartit in multe subcategorii
 - are o grafica extraordinara
 - se bazeaza pe o idee originala si foarte interesanta


Va recomand sa il descarcati oricum si veti vedea ca o sa va placa! Eu am Angry Birds (clasic) pe telefon (Android) si Angry Birds Seasons pe calculator (Google Chrome) si mi se pare foarte dragut, desi nu am jucat prea mult.

Cea mai buna experienta Web = Cel mai bun browser = GOOGLE CHROME

Google Chrome este un browser de Internet rapid, eficient, inteligent si personalizabil prin milioane de teme si aplicatii, dupa nevoia fiecaruia. Prima versiune de Chrome a aparut pe 2.septembrie.2008 si acum a ajuns deja la versiunea  14.0.835.202 (4 octombrie, 2011) . Acest revolutionar browser a aparut prin proiectul Chromium si este detinut de Google. Conceptul pe care se bazeaza Google Chrome este gestionarea extraordinara a cache-ului si un aspect simplu, usor de utilizat si foarte comfortabil, ceea ce pot sa va spun ca este un avantaj incredibil, neavand 5-6 bare superioare cu butoane, ca in Mozilla Firefox sau Internet Explorer. O alta chestiune noua este modul de organizare a tab-urilor, mutandu-se foarte usor oriunde in fereastra deschisa sau pot fi mutate dintr-o fereastra in cealalta. Starea de dezvoltare a acestui browser inovativ este finala si se poate descarca gratuit (in ultima versiune) pentru toate sistemele de operare (Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android). Aplicatiile pentru acesta sunt deasemenea gratuie toate si se pot descarca de pe Chrome Web Store, unde se gasesc si extensii si teme.

Eu sunt extrem de multumita de Google Chrome si viteza de navigare este absolut incredibila!!! Va sfatuiesc pe toti sa descarcati Chrome: este gratuit, se instaleaza in cateva secunde si ofera cea mai completa experienta Web de pana acum! Cine il are deja sau l-a instalat acum sa lase un comentariu.
